Kishkapella Quartet

Kishkapella is an a capella quartet, consisting of vocalists Mark Stanton, Bob Weiner, David Epstein and Kirk Anderson.

We are four guys who by all counts have limited free time to sing...but decided we wanted to sing together anyway...because we really like each other and love ringing chords. We first got together in early 2010 to see if we liked our sound and discovered that making chords together was magical. After positive audience responses from our first performances in 2010, we have decided to continue singing together. Our repertoire is varied and we would love to sing for your group or event.

What, you may ask, does “kishka” mean? In cooking terminology, “kishka” refers to beef or fowl intestine stuffed with flour, onion, and more; and then boiled and roasted. However, the secondary meaning comes from the Yiddish and Russian languages; meaning “gut” or “soul”. So after you hear us, you can decide for yourself if it sounds as if Kishkapella sings from its proverbial gut or soul.

Following graduation from Hartt, he moved to Israel and entered Hebrew Union College's School of Sacred Music.

"Bob Weiner has done a great job in developing and constantly keeping a watchful eye over the Talley Day County Park and its dog park. I live on Wilson Road directly across the street from the park. I talk to many pet owners who just love the park. Many have told me that it's very relaxing there and they love the fact that their dogs can play together in a secure environment. When Bob walks around the park with his two dogs he stops to say hi to everyone. He certainly deserves credit for a job "well done" and I thank him for that along with so many pet owners. "
